The Wyeths: A Family Legacy
May 25 - September 2, 2013
View the works of Howard Pyle and the Wyeth family – N.C., Andrew, and James, as well as Carolyn, Henriette and her husband Peter Hurd. The Wyeths have influenced each other’s techniques, media and subject matter and have taught each other back and forth across the generations. Inspired by teacher and illustrator Howard Pyle and informed by deep attachment to home and place, the works stand together to create a unique vision of American life.
Guest curated by Megan Holloway Fort, Ph.D., this will be one of the few public exhibitions to display the work of the family together and highlight these connections.
Sponsored by The Morgan McReynolds Group at Morgan Stanley and Golden Artist Colors.
