Young at Art! Regional Youth Art Contest: Announcement of Winners

We are pleased to announce the artworks that have been selected for our upcoming exhibition, Young at Art! Imaginations at Play.

Fenimore Art Museum received over 385 submissions from twenty-four schools plus homeschooled students and the selection process was rigorous. Our judges Oneida Hammond, Kathleen Green, John Famulare, and Andrea House were delighted to lead the process and incredibly impressed by the artworks submitted to the program.  After carefully considering each work of art, the judges selected about 40 works of art for the show.

Thank you again to all the students who participated in the program! The quality of submissions was impressive, and it was challenging to select only a few.  We are honored that so many young artists participated and shared their beautiful, thoughtful, carefully rendered works of art with us.  We appreciate every work, and especially the young artists who produced them!

The exhibition, Young at Art! Imaginations at Play, will be on view in Fenimore Art Museum from May 24^th – July 21st.

The Young at Art! Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 8^th from 10am – 12pm at Fenimore Art Museum.  Winners of cash prizes and special prize winners for each media category will be announced during the Reception and Awards Ceremony.  Please join us to discover who wins the Grand Prize!  The reception this year will feature light fare, live chamber music, crafting in the West Gallery, a special guest speaker, and mentors in the field of arts.  Please feel encouraged to visit Fenimore Art Museum and join us in this family-friendly event!
