SUMMARY:
Alex and Barry have lived happily together in their Upper West Side apartment for four years. Alex feels her life is slipping away from her. Barry is established and comfy in his NYU position, puttering over his PhD thesis, but Alex can’t find a hook to hang her talent on. She’s an idealist, a painter at heart, but she feels trapped in their relationship. This is the story of her attempt to break free and take control of her life. It begins with a humorous, but frustrating and clumsy effort to depart with some furniture, and her pride, in a new apartment. Barry refuses to accept that she really means it. Between visits from their wacky, needy neighbor, Helen, and two moving men trying to do their best, Alex nearly loses her mind. In the end she gets unexpected help from a most unlikely source.
Alex – Courtney Murphy
Barry – Justin Raymund Dawson
Helen – Angela Cobb
Jenny – Kathleen Roth
Raj – Dan Lincoln
Narrator – Judy Greenberg
