FOOD FOR THOUGHT: THE FARMERS’ MUSEUM FARM-TO-TABLE DINNER & A [HISTORIC] SHOW

 In
The Fenimore Art Museum’s popular Food for Thought program heads across the street to The Farmers’ Museum for a special Farm-to-Table Dinner & A [Historic] Show. In this unique evening program, Danielle Henrici, Director of Education, will discuss the museum’s dramatic interpretation program, followed by a performance of the one-act play A Case for Eviction. This thirty-minute farce, originally performed in 1883, was written by Spencer Theyre-Smith. It’s likely that this production might be the first time any living person has seen it performed in over one-hundred years! A farm-to-table dinner featuring sustainable local ingredients will follow in historic Bump Tavern.

The evening’s menu includes roasted chicken breast on parsnips, golden beets, sunchokes; riesling demi-glace; butternut squash maple risotto, fresh parmesan; grilled sweet corn on the cob, flavored butters; smoky glazed grilled asparagus, lemon sun-dried tomato vinaigrette; buttermilk biscuits, butter; apple pear pie, crunchy granola crumble; and a wine and beer bar.

Tickets: $76.50 Members, $85.00 Non-Members. To order, visit FenimoreArtMuseum.org/shop and click on “Food for Thought” in the left-hand column. (Museum Members: Please enter coupon code MEMBERS10 at checkout to receive 10% off. Your membership will be verified during checkout.) No physical tickets will be mailed.
