Fenimore Deep-Dives: Joshua Torrance, Senior Vice President
Join our enthusiastic and knowledgeable Curatorial, Collections, and Education staff on the last Tuesday of each month to take a closer look at artwork or objects of their choice from Fenimore Art Museum’s extensive collections. In each live Zoom presentation, a professional from our museum staff will select one or two pieces from the Fenimore collection to discuss at length, providing interesting facts and backstories of the objects that dig deeper than the label text in a gallery. You never know what you’re going to see and learn about next! The roughly 20-minute presentations will be followed by a live Q&A with the audience.
This month, join Joshua Torrance, Senior Vice President of Fenimore Art Museum and Fenimore Farm & Country Village, as he explores the work of 19th century American painter Edward Lamson Henry and the Colonial Revival Movement that his work reflects. Henry’s acclaimed painting Kept In is among those in Fenimore’s collections.
Fenimore Deep-Dive programs are offered for free with a suggested donation of $10. Your donations help our museum continue to offer programs like this in the future!
