Free Admission for Moms on Mother’s Day

Fenimore Art Museum and The Farmers’ Museum in Cooperstown are the perfect places to celebrate Mom and show her how much you appreciate all that she does through the year. Both museums will recognize Mother’s Day by offering free admission to all mothers, grandmothers, and mothers-to-be on Sunday, May 12, 2019, from 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

At The Farmers’ Museum, experience the new exhibition Brew: New York’s Craft Beer Revival. The kids will love the Grow Patch, the Farm’s new immersive play space inside the Main Barn. You can also enjoy a ride on the Empire State Carousel, explore the country village, and make family memories that will last a lifetime. At Fenimore, view the permanent collections and six current exhibitions including the popular Herb Ritts: The Rock Portraits. It is also the last weekend to bring the kids to explore the exhibition Elephant & Piggie in We Are Art –which closes May 15.

To enhance the visit, every mother or grandmother can enjoy a complimentary glass of wine* with the purchase of any lunch item in the Fenimore Café from 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. The Café features outdoor seating on the museum’s expansive garden terrace overlooking picturesque Otsego Lake. At The Farmers’ Museum, the first 100 mothers to visit will take home a goodie bag including a heart made by museum blacksmiths and a letterpress printed Mother’s Day card!
