Cabin Fever Film Series: The Holdovers
Cabin Fever Film Series: “The Holdovers” (Rated PG-13 / 2h 13mins)
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. 6:30-8:45 p.m.
Fenimore Art Museum presents the first film of our 2025 Cabin Fever Film Series, the latest Oscar-winning comedy from the great Alexander Payne (Sideways, Election, The Descendents)! Due to ongoing construction at Fenimore, the screening will be generously hosted at The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, and will be free with suggested donation.
In this Oscar-winning comedy, a curmudgeonly instructor at a New England school remains on campus during Christmas break, where he forms an unlikely bond with a brainy but damaged troublemaker, and with the school’s cook, a woman who just lost a son in the Vietnam War. Winner of the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress (Da’Vine Joy Randolph), and nominated for five additional Oscars including Best Picture, Best Actor (Paul Giamatti), and Best Original Screenplay, The Holdovers is certainly one of the most acclaimed and life-affirming films of last year.
