Fenimore Farm’s and Fenimore Art Museum’s engaging Museum Quest program is rooted in New York State and Common Core Learning Standards yet offers students learning opportunities that are not possible in the classroom. By exploring our unique exhibitions and interacting with our staff, students make real-life and classroom connections that stay with them long after their visit ends. Museum Quest is one of our most popular field trip offerings and is a wonderful way to incorporate standards-based, hands-on learning into your homeschool curriculum.

What is Museum Quest? Museum Quest is one of our most popular field trip opportunities, and we offer a special day specifically for homeschool families to meet and connect with each other and our museums. It is a unique program in that it is self-guided, self-directed, and encompasses two museums and our Native American interpretive site. There is a lot for you and your children to see and do! Best of all, you can pick specific areas of focus for your family based on your interests. LEARNING STATIONS To enhance your self-guided visit, we have designed special Learning Stations that are scattered throughout both museum campuses. These Learning Stations are standards-based, interactive stops that offer students the opportunity to get their hands on history, art, math, and science in meaningful ways.
