Members’ Trip to the Hudson River Valley

 In
On Friday, June 22, 2018, Fenimore Members will delight in spending the morning at Olana State Historic Site, the richly decorated home of artist Frederic Church. Following the exclusive tour, relish the free time on the beautiful grounds and take time to enjoy your included catered box lunch.

We will then take a short two-mile trip and spend the afternoon at the Thomas Cole National Historic Site. Celebrated as one of America’s premier landscape painters, Thomas Cole was the founder of the Hudson River School and is the featured artist in our 2018 exhibition Thomas Cole and The Garden of Eden (opening May 25). You will have this additional time to truly learn about Cole’s life and legacy to the art world. On the journey home, we’ll make a quick stop overlooking the view from the former location of the Catskill Mountain House. The day will include free time to enjoy at your leisure and see all of the many incredible exhibitions and grounds!

The cost is $99 per member (limited seating). We look forward to sharing the day with you! To secure your spot or for additional info, contact Kate at 607.547.1536 or k.morgan@fenimoreart.org
