Free Admission for Moms on Mother’s Day

Fenimore Art Museum and The Farmers’ Museum are the perfect places to celebrate Mom and show her how much you appreciate all that she does through the year. Both museums recognize this special day by offering free admission to all mothers, grandmothers, and mothers-to-be on Sunday, May 13 from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Bring the family to spend a special day together. At Fenimore, view our collections and seven current exhibitions including “Edward Weston: Portrait of the Young Man as an Artist.” Afterward, stroll along the lakeshore and then head across the street to The Farmers’ Museum. There, experience Hops on Tap, a new program to learn about hops and craft brewing – past and present. Enjoy a ride on the Empire State Carousel, explore the historic village, and make family memories that will last a lifetime.

In addition, every mother or grandmother can enjoy a free glass of wine with the purchase of any food item in the Fenimore Cafe from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (visit website or cafe for details). The Cafe features outdoor seating on the garden terrace overlooking picturesque Otsego Lake. The Fenimore Gift Shop is also open and filled with new items and perfect gift ideas for mom.
