New York Gives Day: Support Preschool Tuesdays at Fenimore Art Museum!

To engage our youngest visitors, Fenimore Art Museum is developing a new program for toddlers and preschoolers. These young art enthusiasts, accompanied by parents and caregivers, will explore various artworks in our galleries with special hands-on activities at each one. Storytime and crafts will take place in our Education Room and our auditorium will be the venue for large motor activities such as dancing, acting and playing on stage.

The inaugural series will run in November and December 2018 with a new series being planned for spring 2019 to highlight stories and activities based on our special exhibition, Elephant and Piggie in WE ARE ART!, featuring artwork and drawings by famed children’s book author Mo Willems. Also incorporated in future Preschool Tuesdays at the Fenimore will be tours and activities at our outdoor interpretive area, Otsego: A Meeting Place, including the Mohawk Bark House, Seneca Log House and Lucy B. Hamilton Amphitheater.

Thanks to a generous matching donor, all gifts received by Fenimore Art Museum for #GivingTuesday and #NYGivesDay (November 27), will be doubled, up to a total of $10,000! This means that your kind donation can make double the impact TODAY!!

Please consider making a donation today in support of Fenimore Art Museum’s Preschool Tuesdays program as we enrich the museum’s offerings for families with young children and welcome our youngest guests, inspiring them to be lifelong museum visitors.
