Fenimore Art Museum presents the second film of our 2024 Cabin Fever Film Series, Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer,” one of the most acclaimed films of the year.
This riveting historical thriller paints a complex portrait of J. Robert Oppenheimer, father of the atomic bomb. Following Oppenheimer from his days as a student, through his struggles with his own dark legacy in the postwar era, director Christopher Nolan uses film techniques both old and new to brilliantly re-invent the cinematic biopic. Featuring an astounding cast of acting legends, staggering visuals, incredible practical effects, and a towering central performance by Cillian Murphy, the film stands as a frontrunner for the 2024 Oscar season. Starring: Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Alden Ehrenreich, Kenneth Branaugh, Tom Conti, and more!
