3-Day Photography Experiences for Teens
The afternoon workshop for teenage students will give them a strong knowledge of photography styles and camera settings through a series of engaging and interesting exercises. Students will explore portraiture, landscape, documentary, abstract, sports, and other genres of photography in both color and black and white. They will learn how shutter speed and aperture are used to create certain photographic effects and how exposure is determined. Students will learn basic editing techniques using computer software and apps. A viewing of the students’ favorite photos for family and friends will conclude the experience. Students will need their own digital cameras (preferably SLR or mirrorless cameras with manual aperture and shutter speed control) with a memory card. Cell phone cameras will also be used for some exercises.
