Color & Composition – Workshop with Ashley Norwood Cooper

Two-Day Workshop
Saturday & Sunday, August 3 & 4 • 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Participants will use collage and direct painting techniques to explore color and composition in art. Students will learn about the three characteristics of color-hue, value, and saturation, and use keyed colors to create harmony in compositions and color contrast to create a visual hierarchy. Using Golden Acrylic paints, students will have an opportunity to work abstractly as well as representationally and will leave with ideas about color and composition that they can apply to their own artistic practice.
