Fenimore Art Museum Receives Donation From Stewart’s Shops

Representatives from Stewart’s Shops visited Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown to present a donation of $10,000 that will fund the installation of new LED lighting in the museum’s Community Gallery. The new system will dramatically improve illumination and increase energy efficiency. The gallery is a prominent display space which hosts exhibitions each month for local groups including Springbrook, LEAF Council on Alcoholism/Addictions, Cooperstown High School, as well as highlighting many local artists. The Community Gallery is also home to Fenimore’s newest art program, Young at Art!, an annual art competition featuring the work of students from several regional counties.
