COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. (10/20/2014) — An evening of family fun and creativity comes to the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown on Saturday, November 1. Night at Our Museumopens the museum doors to the community from 6:00-8:00 pm.
Bring your family and enjoy a night of cultural encounters. Engage in a guided exploration of the exhibits and encounter Henry Hudson, folk art, and Native American objects on a “sail” up the Hudson River. Make your own origami or bead and pipe cleaner creatures. Contribute to a community-created art piece. Enjoy family-friendly live music. Night at Our Museumprovides a wonderful way to bring families together in the lovely setting of the Fenimore Art Museum.
Snacks and drinks will be available. Cost: $7 (ages 13 and older); $5 for NYSHA members; free for children 12 and younger. No reservations are necessary. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, call (607) 547-1484.
This event is planned by students at the Cooperstown Graduate Program. Proceeds benefit the museum’s Education Department.
