Fenimore Art Museum Offers Folk Art Painting Class with Artist Susan Jones Kenyon

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. (09.09.14) — This autumn, join artist Susan Jones Kenyon in a new, six-week painting class at the Fenimore Art Museum: “Regular Folk: Painting Folk Art with Susan Jones Kenyon.” Participants will view and learn the history behind specific paintings by Grandma Moses, then reinterpret one of her iconic pieces, as well as create their own folk art. The program is open to adults ages 18 and older. No previous painting experience is necessary. Susan Jones Kenyon is a versatile artist, proficient in realism, impressionism, and folk art.
Classes take place on Tuesdays, beginning October 7 through November 11, from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at the Fenimore Art Museum, 5798 State Highway 80 in Cooperstown.
